Adjusting Rear and Side Mirrors

Adjusting Rear and Side Mirrors

If you’ve been driving for a long time, you’ve likely gotten a bit set in your ways in terms of driving habits. One of the most common is to set your mirrors incorrectly.

If you can see your car in your side mirrors, you’re missing a big blind spot that’s critical to making safe lane changes and turns. Adjusting these mirrors so that your car isn’t visible in them provides a safer view for maneuvering your vehicle safely.

The rear view mirror is less frequently out of alignment. You’ll just want to make sure that you can see your whole rear window when you look into it.

These mirror issues are also very common when you share a vehicle with a spouse or partner. When you get into your car, take a quick second to make sure your mirrors are giving you a full view of all your blind spots.
